Our friendly, highly trained, experienced teachers lead our programs of drop in and pre-registered classes, workshops, and private sessions. The Yoga Door is commited to providing you with the tools and inspiration to activate your best health, improve your fitness and state of mind, and enhance your wellbeing. Classical yoga has many modern forms and we encourage you to practice the way you like best - group classes, privates, semi-privates, or corporate sessions - in our studio, at home, or your office. Hatha Yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in the world. Hatha Yoga uses postures (Asana) and conscious breathing (Pranayama) in combination with mental focus to develop awareness, strength, flexibility and relaxation. Through proper alignment and mindful actions of the body, Hatha Yoga brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being to the practitioner. Because this is not a set series each Teacher brings their own creativity to their class!

Vinyasa Yoga has become a Yoga Door Favourite! This form of Hatha Yoga is more movement-orientated. Classes are energetic with a "flow-style" where we move from one pose to another fluidly, while linking breath with movement. Typically, classes begin with building heat in the body through vinyasa sequences and then disolve into deeper stretches and a final relaxation. Allows the body to open up and release tensions, while increasing flexibility and promoting strength, balance and increased energy levels. Always encouraged to go at your own pace, and inspired to new levels when you are ready.

Ashtanga Yoga is a challenging form of vinyasa developed by Pattabhi Jois. These set series of postures maximizes strength, concentration and flexibility with focused breath awareness. In North America, this form of yoga is commonly referred to as power yoga. We currently practice the short-series on Friday evenings.

Baby & Me Yoga is yoga designed for two! Exceptional quality time for parents and their infants or babies. Together explore safe, gentle stretching and strengthening through a relaxed yoga practice. This class frequently runs in special 6 or 8 week sessions. Please check our schedule or call the studio for more information at 257.7707.

Private Yoga Classes can be arranged at your home, office or at our studio. They can be a great way to deepen your understanding of yoga, modify the practice to the needs of your body or your own goals, or assist you in preparing to enter or try a new style of yoga in a yoga class that is already underway.
